To ensure that emails sent from your Bookinglayer account are received by your customers and don't end up in their spam box there are a couple of settings that need to be added to your DNS records.
We are using Mandrill, a professional third party mail provider to send emails. We do this to optimise delivery and prevent getting blacklisted as spam. Mandrill requires that we verify all sending domains so the following steps are necessary:
- add two records to your DNS (DKIM and SPF)
ADD RECORDS TO YOUR DNS SETTINGS:
Please login to the admin panel of your domain name and navigate to the section to manage the DNS. Then add the two records as described here.
Note: it could be the case you already have an SPF record, in that case you need to adjust it. Contact us if you need help.
Enable DKIM by creating a TXT record with key:
Where you see YOURDOMAIN.com above, replace with your actual domain. For example, if your domain is frothdogs.com you should set the key to mandrill._domainkey.frothdogs.com
Then set the value for this record to:

Add an SPF record (if this option doesn’t come up then select TXT) with the following value:
v=spf1 include:spf.mandrillapp.com ?all
If you are asked to enter a key, just leave it empty or use @.
