In this article, we explain the difference between Bundles and Activities or Services. Our main intention here is to help you to decide whether you have to set up an item as a Bundle or not.
Before we start, it's important to understand how to set up a Bundle. If you don't have this concept clear, please refer to this article.
To illustrate the difference between Bundles and Activities, we will show the difference between the same desired item setup as an activity and as a Bundle.
5 days of Surf Classes (Activity) x 5 days of Surf Classes (Bundle)
1. Frontoffice - The way an Activity or a Bundle is presented in the Frontoffice is exactly the same. Your clients won't notice any difference between them in the moment of the booking.
2. Backoffice - The difference between Bundles and Activities (or services) is in the management of thse items through the Backoffice. We will list all the different aspects of these items below:
2.1 Booking's page
Bundle: Activity 1 day surf class booked on 5 different days (from the 1st to 5th of May)
Activity: Activity 5 days of Surf Classes (Activity) booked only once (1st of May)
Bundle: A Bundle of 5x 1 day surf class is distributed in 5 different days.
Activity: An Activity of 5 days surf class only happen in one day.
Basically, if you want to offer 5 different days of a surf class, you need to set them up as a Bundle.
In case you want 5 surf classes to happen on the same day, you need to set them up as an Activity.
